Creating Your First Experiment
Ready to validate? This guide will walk you through setting up a test page, connecting your payment processor, and launching your first smoke test in under 10 minutes.
1. Choose Your Protocol
When you click "New Experiment" in the dashboard, you will be asked to select a Protocol. This determines the logic of your page.
Best for ideas with no product. Collects emails.
Best for hardware/physical goods. Collects $.
2. Customize the Template
We provide high-converting templates. Do not over-design.
- Hero Image: Upload a high-quality render or photo. (Recommended size: 1200x800px).
- Headline: Focus on the benefit, not the feature.
- Price: Set the price you intend to charge at launch.
Pro Tip: Ugly ads often convert better than polished ones. Don't worry if your product image isn't perfect.
3. Connect Stripe (Optional)
If you selected the Deposit Protocol, you need to connect a Stripe account to receive funds.
- Go to the Integrations tab.
- Click "Connect with Stripe."
- Log in to your existing Stripe account or create a new one.
Note: Validatr does not hold your funds. Deposits go directly to you.
4. Launch & Track
Click "Publish." You will get a unique URL (e.g., validatr.shop/e/your-product). Use this link in your Facebook or TikTok ads.
Traffic will start appearing in your dashboard immediately. Look for the Verdict Score to see if your idea is a winner.
